Summary of Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this advertisement, 05/03/2022. Time-in-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are currently federal employees and have held a GS rank at any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet the Time-in-Grade requirements by the closing date of this advertisement. For a GS-7 position, you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-6. For a GS-8 position, you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-7. The rank may have been in any profession, but must have been held in federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-spent eligibility must be submitted with your application. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date in the past year, it may not clearly show you have one year of seniority, as the ad requires. In this case, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one year of class attendance. Note: Time-in-rank requirements also apply to former federal employees seeking reinstatement as well as current employees seeking appointment under the Veterans Employment Opportunity Act of 1998 (VEOA) . To qualify for this position at the GS-7 level, you must meet one of the following criteria: Specialist Experience: You must have one year of specialist experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the line of normal progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but not be limited to: experience tracking and trending financial data, compiling and validating data from multiple sources and databases, reviewing financial data to ensure compliance with regulations and laws governing the use of funds, making recommendations for management based on information reviewed and research conducted. To qualify for this position at the GS-8 level, you must meet one of the following criteria: Specialist Experience: You must have one year of specialist experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-07 in the line of normal progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but not be limited to: experience tracking and trending financial data, compiling and validating data from multiple sources and databases, reviewing financial data to ensure compliance with regulations and laws governing the use of funds, making recommendations for management based on information reviewed and research conducted. You will be assessed on the following skills for this position: Budget Administration Controlling Funds Critical Thinking Financial Analysis Managing and Organizing Information national service (eg, Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (eg, professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build essential skills, knowledge and abilities and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly into paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Note: A full year of work is considered 35 to 40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent on appropriate activities. Candidates who wish to claim such experience must clearly indicate the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours per week devoted to this job. Physical Requirements: Work is sedentary; it is usually accomplished while the employee is comfortably seated at a desk or table.
